Save as Markdown is a browser extension published by Sorted Solution. It converts the content of the web page you are viewing into a Markdown file on your computer. This policy explains what the extension does with your data. In short: it stays on your device.
What the extension does with your data
- Page content is read only when you invoke the extension, by clicking its toolbar button, pressing its keyboard shortcut or using its right-click menu, and only on the tab where you invoked it. The content is converted to Markdown inside your browser and then saved to your Downloads folder or copied to your clipboard. It is never sent anywhere.
- Settings, such as whether to add front matter or which subfolder to save into, are stored with Chrome's extension storage. If you have Chrome sync turned on, Chrome may sync these settings between your own signed-in browsers.
What the extension does not do
- It makes no network requests of any kind.
- It does not collect, transmit, sell or share your browsing history, page content, personal information or usage data.
- It contains no analytics, advertising or third-party code.
- It does not run on any page until you ask it to.

Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date. Because the extension collects no data, any change will describe a change in the extension's behaviour, not in how existing data is used.
