What's new in Cella PDF 1.1

Cella PDF 1.1 is the beta build of 2026-10-19. Changes since the 1.0 notes below, from the window round of 2026-10-18, on the Mac first (Windows and Linux carry them too, built but unrun):

  • The options row under the toolbar stays put at one height, so the drawing no longer jumps when a tool has options; new options sweep in from the left and every tool's controls start at the same place.
  • Undo, redo, zoom, Fit Page, the Tool Palette and the panel buttons moved to the right end of the blue status band; the toolbar keeps the tools.
  • Properties and the Markups List pop out into floating panels from a button in their headers (⌥⇧⌘P, ⌥⇧⌘M), or by dragging the header off the window; the right column is always full height.
  • The Tool Chest moved from the toolbar to Tools ▸ Tool Chest.
  • With the Tool Palette out, no toolbar bands remain in the window.
  • The sheet strip shows ‹ › arrows when it has more sheets than fit.
  • The sample set is a twelve-sheet Riverside Clinic construction set in colour.
  • The status band's left edge lines up with the first sheet thumbnail; the Properties and Markups List headers lost the pin (the right column is always full height).
  • The Mac app shows as "Cella PDF" in Finder, the Dock and Spotlight.
  • Dense CAD sheets no longer stall on open (a WebKit worker deadlock in the inflate path).
  • Colour, width and size controls share one pill shape; the ⋯ More tools menu shows icons and names; side panels, Welcome, Settings and the sheets were aligned to one grid; markups stay sharp at any zoom and revision clouds bulge outward on screen.
